Baked Chirote/Glazed Sweet Puri
About:
Chirote is festivals favorite sweet dish in India. Here the two-three rotis are topped on each other and corn starch and ghee paste is spread to retain the layer and rolled.
As a variation tried with low fat Sunflower spread instead of Ghee; Honey instead of Sugar with reduced Plain flour used. Baked the puris to reduce the overall calories of the dish
Yields: 10 -12 Puris

Strawberry, Almond with honey Fudge/Burfi
About:
Deepavali/Diwali is a festival of lights celebrated in India. On this occassion thought of making a simple and quick to make yet healthy dish.
This fudge/burfi is filled with goodness of Strawberries, Almond and honey. Almond was grounded along with the skin to retain its nutrients but feel free to used blanched almonds.
Health Benefits:
Strawberry are rich in vitamin C. Helps prevention of cardiovascular diseases, improved regulation of blood sugar, with decreased risk of type 2 diabetes, and prevention of certain cancer types including breast, cervical, colon, and oesophageal cancer.
