Oats and Red rice flakes/Poha – Granola

Healthy homemade granola can be a healthy, comforting and delicious treat. Combining oats, red rice flakes, agave nectar/honey, nuts, seeds is undoubtedly nutritious and healthy breakfast option.

Here as a variation I used red rice flake. Red rice flakes are made from a red rice. It is more common to find the flakes (poha) made of white rice. Rice flakes has an earthy flavor, chewy texture and light rose in color. Healthy alternative to white rice flakes, having a high nutritional contents.

Soya bean holige/Sweet stuffed roti


Soya bean Puran Poli

About:

Puran poli/Holige is a sweetened roti stuffed with a delicious sweet fillings made with either Channa/Toor dal and jiggery. Here in this recipe I used soya bean for the stuffing in this poli instead of channa/toor dal stuffing.

Health Benefits:

Soybeans are members of the pea (legume) family of vegetables. Eating soybean-based foods may reduce the risk of a range of health problems, including coronary heart disease. Research evidence so far suggests that it is wise to include whole soy (or soya) foods in your daily diet.
